Water Level and Diving Depth

5 min. 2-chanell video installation, 2015

This work was created as a reaction to an empty “plattenbau” buliding from the 80s (Vast prefabricated housing typical of the socialist era). This was the place of my childhood, the time of the long summer holydays and the torrid afternoons when everybody slept except for myself, listening to the radio announcing the water level and diving depth of the Danube. The present look on the empty and rundown rooms mixes up with a reflection on the private and volatile moments of the past.

The video installation was made for and presented at the Lokalize art festival.
